Having comparable information among social security institutions is necessary for monitoring results and implementing improvements. However, information on social security is rarely disaggregated by institution in national surveys, while administrative records are not standardized or systematized in one place.
Based on this diagnosis and addressing the request of our members, the CISS has developed the Standardized System of Social Security Indicators (SHISS by its Spanish acronym), whose results are presented in the interactive data portal. Additionally, the CISS has been working producing analysis documents of these results, as well as a diagnosis on metrics on social security in the Americas, which are presented in this site.
