What is the Observatory?

Social security is a human right and as such, it should be guaranteed universally to everyone without distinction of any kind.

However, there are groups that have faced obstacles in accessing social security. Among these groups we find:

To address this, the General Secretariat of the Inter-American Conference on Social Security (CISS) has created the Observatory on the Universalization of Social Security.

This observatory generates, collects, and disseminates information to understand and study access and exclusion from social security for these groups.

The objective is to provide inputs that guide public policy decisions aimed at the universalization of social security in the Americas.

In this site, you will find data, research, and events conducted by the CISS for these populations.
